Biography

In the beginning
...

Shon Edward Blotzer, the youngest of three children, was born to Mark and Janet Blotzer in Raleigh, North Carolina on August 28, 1983. He was raised in the very tiny town of Butner, where his parents settled down after the birth of their second child.

Growing up, Shon was "a regular Dennis the Menace" as most family and friends would refer to him. He was the typical young boy always trying to seek out adventure, and yes sometimes got into trouble (ok, maybe sometimes is an understatement). What boy didn't? With constant dreams of being a pirate or hosting battles in the backyard as G.I. Joe, Shon quickly tapped into his natural ability to create and re-create different characters and scenes. Of course it didn't hurt that he also loved being the center of attention, constantly trying to make people laugh. Shon occasionally put on small shows and performances for family and friends. He always managed to bring smiles and laughter to those around him.

Shon goals were set early on. He eventually graduated from South Granville High School in 2001. With his love of movies and being in front of the camera, there is no question about what took him to Wilmington, NC. Enjoying his time, and knowing that acting was his chosen path, Shon auditioned every chance he could. He soon landed roles in What Not To Do (2003), Grady's Eighties (2004), and The Elite (2005). In 2003 Shon had a brief part on the WB's Dawson's Creek and soon after was asked to be a stand-in for James Van Der Beek. Still enjoying every second in front of the camera, Shon tried his hand at writing and directing. In spring of 2003 the short, Never Too Late(2003) was completed. In late 2004 Shon spent some time in New York City where he was signed by the agency, Innovative Artists and landed a role on the soap Guiding Light along with a guest spot on MTV's hit hidden camera prank show Boiling Points. After a few featured roles in various films Shon returned to Wilmington, NC late 2005 to finish his degree at the University of North Carolina, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

Upon graduation, Shon immediately returned to the place he loves... on set! Soon he began work on The List, The Furnace and Todd Louiso's The Marc Pease Experience.

After accomplishing his dream of establishing himself as an actor he now focuses on his new dream, making it to the top. Tomorrow holds only more of the good stuff from Shon Edward Blotzer.

Bring on tomorrow!

Shon is currently working on several productions on both coasts, traveling frequently between New York and Los Angeles.
